摘要:
为降低环氧树脂的火灾危险性,以NiSO4和有机蒙脱土(OMMT)复配体系作为协效剂用于增强膨胀阻燃环氧树脂的火安全性,通过氧指数测试仪、垂直燃烧测试仪、烟密度仪和锥形量热仪系统分析膨胀阻燃环氧树脂的阻燃和生烟性能。研究结果表明:单独添加NiSO4或OMMT均能提高膨胀阻燃环氧树脂的阻燃、抑烟、热稳定性和成炭性能,将二者复配使用则表现出更优异的协效作用;当NiSO4和OMMT以1∶1的质量比复配使用时,膨胀阻燃环氧树脂的极限氧指数(LOI)达到31.1%并通过UL94 V-0级测试,800 ℃时的残余质量达到22.6%,总释放热和总生烟量相比于纯环氧树脂分别降低56.0%,65.8%;炭层分析表明,NiSO4和OMMT复配体系能提高试样燃烧后炭层的交联密度,增强炭层的致密性和隔热性,达到协效阻燃和抑烟的效果。研究结果可为提高环氧树脂基产品的阻燃和抑烟性能提供参考与借鉴。
Abstract:
To reduce the fire hazard of epoxy resins (EPs),the compounding system of NiSO4 and organic montmorillonite (OMMT) was used as synergistic agent for enhancing the fire safety of intumescent flame-retardant EPs.The flame retardancy and smoke generation properties of intumescent flame-retardant EPs were analyzed using the oxygen index tester,vertical combustion tester,smoke density instrument and cone calorimeter,etc.The results show that the addition of NiSO4 or OMMT alone can improve the flame retardant,smoke suppression,thermal stability and char formation properties of the intumescent flame-retardant EPs,and the compounding usage of NiSO4 and OMMT exhibits a better synergistic effect.When NiSO4 and OMMT are compounded in the 1∶1 mass ratio,the limiting oxygen index (LOI) of the intumescent flame-retardant EPs reaches 31.1% and passes the UL94 V-0 test,with a residual mass of 22.6% at 800 ℃.Besides,as compared to the pure EPs,the total heat release and total smoke generation are reduced by 56.0%,65.8%,respectively.The results of char layer analysis indicate that the NiSO4/OMMT compounding system can increase the cross-link density of char layer after combustion,which enhances the denseness and thermal insulation of char layer and achieves the effect of synergistic flame retardant and smoke suppression.The results can provide reference for improving the flame retardant and smoke suppression properties of epoxy resin-based products.
