This paper describes the function of the realtime process monitoring technology used in electricity emergency management system. The design and application of emergency command information platform for the EHV power grid is analyzed and researched from the point of management level and technical means. The basic framework, the expected functionality and technical indicators of the video surveillance system design and renovation are analyzed especially. The implementation techniques of system hardware, software, data distribution and information flow are introduced. The actual system functionality and application experience are also described.
